So I saw this article and went to visit VW website.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Sure enough there was an option for my exact plan and when I re-selected my plan it came up as switching to a cheaper plan.
That's pretty shitty, Verizon. Rather than just changing the price in your computer for a plan you made an entirely new plan which is exactly the same only cheaper.
Every existing customer would have thought customer service was great if they received a text saying, "We just dropped your cell phone plan's price. You don't need to do anything. Your Welcome and Thank You for being a customer."

That would require them to care about consumers....

Shit like this is why I'll never go back to cellular contracts.

unless you are a loyal customer it turns out, cause you were already getting it. still, whatever Verizon offers is hardly worth it, im on hold with them right now and every. single. time I call its a new adventure in what the hell is going on over there.

I think we just got a flyer in the mail about this. I saved it, assuming there was a catch but intending to look into it. Good reminder!

I looked into that, but I'm grandfathered in on a cheaper plan they no longer offer. And Verizon not going out of their way to be helpful to their customers has not surprised me in years.
I would switch carriers in a heartbeat if anyone else had comparable network coverage.
